A Warm Welcome

Northern Nights will re-open under new ownership in 2012. 

We spent the summer of 2011 building new guest accommodation and... fishing of all things !!  Waskwei Lake is new to us and we are looking forward to sharing the wonderful Northern Nights experience with our guests.

The Lake offers world class fishing for Northern Pike and Walleye and the scenery is breathtaking.  We spent countless hours exploring the vast expanse of lake and hidden secrets. 

Although we did not take clients in 2011 as we prepared the camp, we did have visitors who experienced great fishing.  Big Northern Pike, many topping 40 inches and the Walleye are in abundance.  We can’t wait until spring !!

Enjoy the still calm of the lake in morning and evenings with a cup off coffee or your favourite beverage on the dock.  The call of the loons makes for wonderful background music and in late evening you often hear the “call of the wild” from the native wolves. Blueberries are plentiful from mid August and Cindy makes a mean blueberry pie and mouth watering muffins !!  Experience the Aurora Borealis as the night skies light up and dance in amazing colours when the summer months draw to a close.
